Doc I see what the management’s trying to do here. Trying to break the pattern of announcements from the previous projects, and make it less predictable for investors.
Now the only thing 88e had going for it was the annual sp movement cycle, which made it attractive for investors to get involved, and make it highly liquid shares.

Killing this cycle IMO, would be a disaster for 88e in any subsequent drills and CRs, more so if this drill turns out to be a dud.

Not many investors would want to hear about 88e in the future.

indeed very risky move by management to perform at this stage, and the reaction to this fairly routine announcement shows that.
