Yes the HRZ is the source rock that produced the hydrocarbons that have migrated to fill the reservoirs above.
The Icewine 1 and 2 HRZ sweet spot was eventually concluded to be the wrong kerogen for its cooking history and had overcooked into bitumen, rather than the volatile oil prognosed.
Further north at Hickory this may not be the case, the attached video at 1:02:15 sec gives a good visual on the underlying HRZ maturity profile. I found the whole modelling section on the reservoirs worth a view
