no because the current market makes it already un economical to recycle as its seen as a lesser option vs a mine. thats why china is taking most of it because they can recycle it at a economical cost
if the price goes up the demand for e waste will go down and end up with no buyers.
MTM can compete because they can economically recycle the waste, but starting at a small scale its not going to suddenly effect the price of ewaste.
the US exports at least 2.5 million tonnes of ewaste to china every year, MTM would have to capture a large proportion of the market to drive the value of ewaste up and that would also work in MTMs favour because it would make it un economical for traditional recyclers to afford, thus funneling more supply to MTM
I think thats a long way down the track but the price of ewaste going up won't be a problem for MTM
