If he was legit, he'd explain the reason for the apparent falling out with those that remain at Inca?
And as you say, there are (at least) two sides to a story.
Ditto, RH - was there a similar falling out? It appears a sudden departure?
I'm surprised the company hasn't clarified the RH position given his importance to the exploration program....
