Again, a mind-blowing amount of geological information, but a 60m step out hole drilling to the SW hits a decent Cu grade portion of the upper hornfels with Cu > Au but once the drill hole is in the hydrothermal breccia in this hole the Au becomes the dominant mineral of value.
Sure its only a 60m step out and drilling at an oblique angle down the breccia structure but this is one of the better and bolder step outs that CAE has done, I wouldn't hold out too much hope that the bottom of hole 18 has much more high grade and will most likely contain patchy mod to low-grade mineralization.
Company giving us clues that the upper part of hole 19 is in progress and looks a bit like the upper part of hole 18, and hole 19 is a step back and a step under hole 8 which was previously drilled and had good results. The net effect is this hole 18 is adding a bit of volume to the mineralized envelope in the southern part of the breccia.
Note how ineffective the historical drilling from west to east was in the cross-section they have cut through hole 18 although I would have liked the clipping to be wider to see what is going on in those older diamond hole trajectories. I'm guessing these old diamond holes swung to the south (clockwise) and also got caught in the ENE-WSW trending barren Andesite dykes so weren't seeing the nearby hydrothermal breccia.
Again - these aren't quite "directors specials" but a reasonably honest attempt at proving continuity and getting in a weird SSW plunging breccia with internal mineral textures in a different orientation to the major breccia pipe orientation. Got to read the geology text and look closely at the core-launcher/core orientation frame photos to see what they are saying, not many companies do this, and CAE is doing this for a particular reason.
