Wait...You were expecting grades in the waste dumps equal to or better than what was historically mined and sold? That logic plain fails.
However, these grades are strong and better than 90% of the ASX listed companies cobalt in the ground that have $1b capex required to actually mine it. The LIDAR will help us understand how much revenue is sitting in those waste dumps, and then we can all do a little "cobalt dance".
The announcement specifically mentions they also took samples that had no discernible mineralization from looking at it- so these sampling results are on the track to being a relative indicator of the opportunities here. And only 16 of 42 waste dumps so far.
While some people may feel negative about this announcement, it's helping to tick all the boxes for me.
