I note in it they emphasise the value of XRF scanning in exploration for gold where the focus is on finding pathfinder minerals.
i also note that in the samples I pulled out above, with above 10ppm gold, there are also decent to strong samples of Co in the scans.
per table below in the article, IOCG deposit might best be reflected by this sampling - which is what they're hoping to delineate right?
As I said earlier, it's the copper that's key to my interest here, but I'm prepared to upgrade my confidence, at least a little, that there may indeed be something in the gold based on the education you've supplied. Quite keen now to see the assay results just to confirm the validity of the hypothesis!
