American cyclist Lance Armstrong will make his official comeback to professional road racing in next year's Tour Down Under in South Australia.
SA Premier Mike Rann has made the announcement in Adelaide.
Armstrong retired after winning the Tour de France a record seven times.
He will make a return to professional cycling with an eye to winning the French tour an eighth time.
