AI data centers require vast amounts of copper, driven by the need for power networks, circuit boards, and cooling systems. A study of Microsoft's $500 million data center in Chicago used 2,177 tonnes of copper, equivalent to 27 tonnes per megawatt (MW) of applied power. Overall, the demand for copper in AI data centers is significant and continues to rise with the growth of AI and data infrastructure.
Considering the explosion in demand for AI data centres I cannot see any reason for a significant fall in copper prices.
