I dare say that there'd be very little if any overseas (particularly american) investment in the aussie market whilst the AUD continues its steady decline against the USD. You may have actually hit the nail on the head with who is potentially at this point withdrawing their funds 'till the exchange rate stabilises again, it's been clearly happening across the ASX for the last two weeks as the AUD cannot find a bottom, no need to mention that falling iron ore price is not helping this situation.
