With the pit designs looking quite huge, to get to Valley's deep intersections (with an assumption of vertical ore extending up toward surface), any shallow / uphill ore from North or Valley can only help. It's like adding incremental ore with minimal mining cost - just changing waste to ore in the calculations.

North Uphill has already delivered something in that respect. But Valley is still pending and important, then needing further drilling uphill from North at some point.


We don't have the South-Valley connection yet (South only extended a small distance downhill yet), but North extending uphill is also a strong positive.


I guess they're not rushing to release an updated NPV, as they'd be forced to include the new discount rate (due to higher IRs) and cost inflation. But with South and North now ready to make bigger contributions, they'll likely be happier to release it (depending on what Valley delivers, as SS2 already had fairly big assumptions for Valley).
