Yes amigo, the high grades of silver and base metals are consistent wth the other Lewis Ponds lodes. You never know how big this system will become, or whether there are some bonanza grades within it? (As mentioned in a previous post, Lewis Ponds JORC-resource is already a 1 million oz gold equivalent.) There is an interesting paragraph in the announcement which is copied below as a screenshot. I am probably wrong, but maybe it is the first time I've read that the Lewis Ponds system is classified as orogenic gold - normally they just say VMS type. Also, below is copied a diagram from Geoscience Australia's website which has a good section on Orogenic gold. It talks about Cobar-style and poly-metallic gold systems. As GRL points out, the gold & base metals are "NOT associated with the fine-grained pyrite" - that must be good because the gold is not locked within pyrite minerals and, as a result, metallurgy is much more straightforward and cheaper. It may also have implications for future exploration?
