They have a 1 million ounce gold resource, which is very different to a 1 million ounce gold reserve. They have very little cash, so huge dilution will be required in order to drill out the resource properly and convert the resources to reserves. Then selling the deposit to someone else or even developing the mine themselves will take time. Easy to see why if you were using a 10% discount rate that the market price would be worth what it is. If you're willing to wait a while though then things seem much more interesting.
