Yet not a peep from ALB interest in WR1 - this stock must be so bad no one wants to touch even with a 10 foot poleAlbemarle is set to decamp from Liontown Resources and completely close the book on a failed takeover attempt that left the US chemicals giant battered and bruised.
Liontown has confirmed to The West Australian that Albemarle is in the process of selling its 4 per cent stake in the lithium hopeful, which encompasses nearly 96.3 million shares.
Albemarle is understood to be looking to fetch just over $120m for its holding, which means it will likely offload its shares for under $1.30 a piece. Shares in Liontown closed Wednesday’s trade at $1.36 each.
