Those two holes (64 and 65) confirmed no Burmeister seam mineralisation in that location but that was most likely not their intention.

The drilling was at surface close to the Ultramafic formation and drilled at 60 degrees to the NE. Given the drill angles and depth, I suspect they were wanting to know the slope of the Mafic Volcanics vs Ultramafic Volcanics divide to the NE of the deposit. This would assist to know the geology and whether it has consistency to the NE. If you got the same slope of that divide in the south and further north then you have greater confidence that will be the slope all the way along and there is no point doing deeper drill holes that will go below that divide line. This divide line is now appearing on maps.






From the previously linked research paper we know that the Glasse Formation is above the Horman Formation which is above the Maggie Hays Formation and Jaegermeister is in the Maggie Hays formation while Burmeister is in the Glasse Formation. If Jaegermeister Target A were to extend this far to the west it would be deeper than 168m so these holes weren't (yet) testing for an extension of Target A.
