This pegmatite RP_04 (which really needs a better name!!) is starting to show the characteristics necessary to have realistic potential to be of North Seymour or larger type size, quite possibly with a higher grade. More drilling is needed to confirm this but GT1 is noting root bay drilling as a priority as conditions allow and within that RP_04 drilling will be at the top of this list.

While the announcement confirms a 181m-197m intercept, RP_04 has been intersected to a depth of 315m (assay's pending). The down-dip length from today's map is about 500m. The five intersections to along this cross section are all 14 to 18m thickness but assay's are still needed for the last two. Its estimated NE to SW length is circa 750m (from the red outline expressions on maps). The two big unknowns are whether mineralisation is consistent along its length and whether thickness remains consistent along its length. If grade is acceptable over the full length and RP_04 remains 16m thick on this full length then its shaping up as perhaps a 16Mt resource (750*500*16*2.7 density). This is only one of many pegmatites in the area.

    Known drill intercepts:
    14.3m @ 1.52% is RB-23-091 (from 33.1m)
    17.8m @ 1.73% is RB-23-088 (from 99.4m)
    16.0m @ 1.58% is RB-23-085 (from 181.4m)
RB-23-083 was originally drilled to 267m (as per the McCombe JORC). 083 now has a depth of 324m as per today's update (pg20)
RB-23-081 was originally drilled to 213m (as per the McCombe JORC). 081 now has a depth of 351m as per today's update (pg20).

These last two earlier drill holes initially stopped before RP_04 but now GT1 knew what was a little bit deeper, they were extended. GT1 has a "-" next to them for grade but I think this is more likely not having assay's back than zero assay values. From pg20 of today's announcement, 0083 intersected a pegmatite between 254.6m and 271.2m (16.6m). 081 then intersected pegmatite between 298.5m and 315.0m (16.5m) and also a thin 1.3m just below that from 320.3m. Clearly these new thick intersections are a continuation of RP_04 down-dip.

Its unclear what other holes if any were extended, but the total drilling at Root is now 35 holes for 8,805.7m (A full 2,750m more than the 31 holes for 6,055m noted in the quarterly!!).

These intersections of RP_04 by RB-23-083 and RB-23-081 are drawn on the map below as the two additional pink dots and they would appear to be how GT1 has established the thickness well beyond the three reported holes. There are also 3 more pink dots further to the north so other drill holes have punched through RP_04 at depth. These could be RB-23-111, RB-23-152 & RB-23-174 but drilling details for these are yet to be supplied.

If that wasn't enough, the other pegmatites were also showing strong >1% grades providing confidence the conditions across the wider area were what was required for lithium formation. And the markets response - pushing down the share price on low volume which makes no sense to me.
