They have done a lot of drilling in PNG prior to the recent board. The original board was very proactive, just got screwed but the Rudd government and eternal factors at the wrong times. Doing their own drilling kept costs down. They had some small one's that could drill in the rough terrain of PNG, but it their last big run they purchased a large drill for pepper drilling.
Not sure what has happened to those existing rigs? They don't seem to get mentioned and I don't remember any notice of their disposal.
