Simon may have just wanted to make his own mark. He took MZN from a basket case to a bona-fide explorer by a 60:1 consolidation, changed the name to FFR, raise cash, acquire the Yalgoo ground, spin out the idle manganese project in the Pilbara into FRB via an in-specie ipo, sell off other ground near the Kidman lithium project that the previous CEO tried to grab via ill- fated court action and now a merger with GCY, including another in-specie spin out for holders.
He raised enough money for a plan to drill up to 40,000m. I took a drive out Yalgoo a few months ago and the drillers were going hard at what I think was the Don Bradman area. Plus there were completed drill areas visible all over the place. I posted a photo of one large area on an earlier thread at the time.
He will be an asset to GCY imo if the shareholders vote for the merger.
