I have seen it a number of times, most recent was AUT announced high grade rock samples at a remote area from their main area where investors wanted them to work on and they used that to raise $10M and do what shareholders didn't want them to do ie farting around somewhere else. Rock chip samples are a red flag, no real investment needed like drilling and these rock chips say things like 300gm/t gold and if they are real then probably cherry picked.
