Muthy and his DPP party are solely to blame for not implementing the new mines and minerals bill along with the ATI access to information bill and so many other serious corruption issues - education - medical - electricity - so on.

They will be unlikely to be in power after the May 2019 election.
Vice president Chilima has resigned and formed his own party in the past 2 months.
Protests organized next month by Church groups through to various organizations demanding Mutharika resignation for his corruption and failings. Must remember Malawi is a very peaceful African nation compared with others. People have had enough.

Muthy is under severe pressure to turn things around very quickly - will he do anything - no. He has treated with contempt letters from civil society organizations for many months to address issues.
Will he mastermind unfair - rigged elections?
Will the incoming govt be any better?

If as civil organizations have requested that a ruling president can be charged instead of the current archaic legislation that gives a ruling president freedom from prosecution is put in place Malawi has a chance to develop.
