when the master showed me a hairspring beating device. said this is how it operates and said have a go. i colleted and pinned a new coiled wire with technology pre conditioned into it and with the basic shape pre required. was told to cut/break at a certain point. so I did. when the master went to put the terminal curves in it i said no! with authority... this is where it is. i had made an error. i said its at 3/4 by admission he listened and proceeded to mount the hairspring to the mechanism and to his surprise and with pride accepted 4 beats in 18000p/hour as the standard at which we had achieved. thank you! for sighting a hairspring to the industry standard.
