Whilst the shorts are certainly winning, and sadly they often do, you can't help but think the shorts are treating this like a speccy stock due to Boda.
Sure, Boda is a long shot, and many porphyry core hunters go broke searching. But ALK is no speccy. The current operations and future potential of ALK's KNOWN gold deposits are enough to justify the current SP and then some. Aside from a sliding gold price or something left of field, at the current ALK SP it's hard to see further downside.
If I was a shorter I'd be chalking this up as a win and closing my position.
