You are spot on with the fact that another capital raising will be around the corner. But even given that, since ERI has a fairly low number of shares on issue, a small raising should allow the company some opportunity to take advantage of these first drill results and promote the company more vigorously. I believe the drilling outcome was predicted from the earlier surface sampling but the company simply had no promotion earlier, and I too didn't take up the earlier SPP offered.
Now they have a chance to get the momentum going, I hope they don't go back to sleep!
