Backbones are the likes of the high divi stocks - banks and big miners and telstra.

Am very happy to also hold some wishbones - to duly convert some into backbones before end of June and again next financial year.

When I considered how best to buy more ICG, my rule of thumb is
-can ICG 10 bag from 10c? yes
-can the stocks I need to sell so can buy ICG 10 bag?

I have sold quite a few other stocks to buy ICG and have the capital loss ready to apply.

If I was still working and running an investment loan i would have no hesitation buying ICG using the investment loan.
But one has to be prudent when they retire - the loan was zeroed a year before I retired.


We should have a pretty good idea by end of May if hitting paydirt, thus punters have scope to take some profits before end of June and also in July, exploiting 2 different financial years. Having this scope is very good IMO
