To my understanding, free-milling ores are defined as those where over 90% of gold can be recovered by conventional cyanide leaching and therefore ores that are not needing significantly more reagents or more complex pre-treatment processes in order to deliver a reasonable percentage the gold contained in them, a factor to be taken into consideration in the feasibility studies.
