re: Ann: High Quality Coking Coal Properties ... I understand CSN indicates the caking capability, essential feature of coking coal. Non coke will have a CSN of 0. CSN of 3 makes it a soft coking coal. This characteristic also allows it to have good combustion characteristics, hence higher caloric value. Throw in low sulphur content and no phosphorus, you have a great soft coking coal product.
