The announcement stated the company would pass on any cost savings to customers. So that means a discount, but how much we don't know. Given that they were previously prepared to drop the price to $17/gal for "early adopters", it would provide an excuse or reason to give a 10-20% discount from $25/gal equivalent.
If the company saved 10% in costs and gave a 20% discount to customers then effectively they are only dropping potential revenues by 10%. But they might easily recoup that in extra sales.
