Yes, sounds like the technology was being developed back in the mid 90s so must be relatively advanced in comparison today. I am a bit light on chemistry so not sure here if saltwater is adequate for the chemical process meaning that Costa Fuego will require some freshwater I presume.
No doubt Glencore would be across the detail of the process and the available technology or access to it.
