Pwoar Maxi! - Nice find. Not sure about the part in red?? Mostly known info but great to some Chinese coverage.Translated version with my highlighter:

Abstract Lepidico claims that the lithium carbonate produced by this process is more cost-effective than other manufacturers, and the impurities contained in the material are also lower.

Foreign media reported that Lepidico (ASX:LPD), a global lithium exploration and development company, announced the use of its proprietary L-Max® process to produce lithium carbonate materials with a purity of 99.95% at its pilot plant in Perth.

Lepidico claims that the lithium carbonate produced by this process is more cost-effective than other manufacturers, and that the material contains less impurities.

Lepidico has initiated a test work program to establish a pilot plant in Perth using its proprietary L-Max® method to produce lithium hydroxide materials of similar purity. The plant is building an L-Max® process line and plans to refine the crude product into a high-purity lithium hydroxide product next month.

Lepidico's strategy is to use lithium mica and other unconventional lithium sources (including zinc ore) to manufacture battery chemicals using its proprietary L-Max and LOH-Max technologies, making it an important global lithium chemical producer.

It is understood that Lepidico differs from traditional lithium chemical producers in that it has a clean technology called L-Max®, which extracts lithium from less competitive lithium mica and phosphate minerals. Recover valuable by-products.

L-Max® is a low-energy hydrometallurgical process that uses low-cost conventional reagents and industry-standard equipment. The method involves subjecting the lithium mica slurry to saturated sulfuric acid leaching at atmospheric pressure and moderate temperature, followed by a series of impurity removal steps at a gradually elevated pH followed by precipitation of lithium carbonate.

This process is in contrast to the much higher energy consumption of the spodumene concentrate, which requires high temperature calcination and calcination prior to hydrometallurgical lithium recovery.

L-Max® technology is owned by Lepidico's subsidiary Li-Technology Pty Ltd, which effectively reduces the production cost of lithium battery raw materials.

At the same time, Lepidico continues to expand its technology base by developing the S-MaxTM and LOH-MaxTM processes to complement its L-Max® technology to further enhance its competitive edge in lithium salt products.

The S-MaxTM process produces amorphous silica from concentrates extracted from a variety of mica minerals, including mica. The S-MaxTM process consists of three stages of grinding, leaching and grading flotation, which can be used as a stand-alone process or compatible with Lepidico's proprietary L-Max® process.

The LOH-MaxTM process can produce lithium hydroxide from lithium sulfate using conventional industrial equipment without the use of sodium sulfate. The process was developed by Lepidico in collaboration with Strategic Metallurgy.

In a feasibility study to build a 5,000-ton lithium hydroxide plant, Lepidico compared the cost of converting lithium sulfate to lithium carbonate or lithium hydroxide between the LOH-MaxTM process and the traditional process.

Lepidico found that using LOH-MaxTM can reduce raw material costs (estimated at 5,000 tpa of lithium hydroxide, saving more than $10 million per year) while reducing operating costs. As a result, Lepidico saw an opportunity to license this process technology to other lithium chemical producers.
