I have re-read the announcement several times now and the things that absolutely sticks out like the proverbial is the enthused positivity exuded by management ( backed up by that wealth of data on the K/Rb ratio and observations of petalite) versus the absolute extreme bearishness of Mr Market. Its so wide you could drive a truck through it. Now after 30 years trading I know a lot about extremes on the ASX but seriously, this is quite bizarre. I get the knee jerk reaction of Mr Market ( extreme in this case) but the stock seems grossly oversold based on quite sound technical info presented in the announcement. Clearly Mr Market saw the H909418 hole lying just within the "spodumene field" in the graphical fractionalization representation they show of K/Rb vs Cesium and then took fright at the Li assay value for that sample. BUT what many ( most) have failed to realize if they take the time to carefully read the announcement is that the sample assay suggests its from an "over-fractionated zone" meaning where the last elements to segregate out which is the coolest zone whereas lithium concentrates in a somewhat less fractionated zone which tends to be closer to the source granite intrusive and is therefore a somewhat hotter zone. In fact they illustrate this with a sketch. They are not saying the H909418 sample was actually spodumene, it was simply a mineral look-alike they say but formed in the more over-fractionated cooler zone where lithium levels are lower because the majority of the lithium already had crystallized out nearby where the hotter conditions existed during fractionation. In a way its a pity that graphic showed the sample in the "spodumene field" rather than the graphic being drawn in such a way as to indicate its actually in an "over-fractioned" zone using their words. Unfortunately, Mr Market at first glance saw the sample in that graphic within a "spodumene field" , misinterpreted it, then saw the assay, put 1 and 1 together and came up with 3, then dumped the stock.

I’d expect management would not have expected this reaction from today’s announcement. If they had, why release it, would make absolutely no sense to do so.
