I've been trying to ascertain why some are calling this a straight out duster, when there are minerals associated with Spodumene nearby and K/Rb ratios indicating fractionation. https://pubs.usgs.gov/of/2013/1008/OF13-1008.pdf

Clearly C1X didn't hit spod (yet), and there's no guarantee they will, but there are minerals indicating fractionation. In speaking to a reputable Quebec geologist, I was encouraged to look at Visible Gold Mines, who are looking for spod within kms of PMT's CV5. http://www.visiblegoldmines.com/press-release/detail-120.html

Dahrouge provided Visible Gold Mines with results of Ta up to 114ppm, Cs up to 126ppm and Rb up to 2,480ppm in Block D near PMT's CV trend and said it's a proximity indicator for nearby spodumene (and we all know what is nearby). C1X had high ppm of CS and Rb ppm over 2000.

Visible Gold Mines have done further prospecting at Block C and reported their results last week. They also used pXRF results and were more looking for elevated Rubidium levels. Their RB levels ranged from 0 to 7800ppm. http://www.visiblegoldmines.com/images/news/1_VGD_SPOD_NR_SUMMER2023_MIDWAY_UPDATE_041023.pdf

There is good conversation about why pick where they are looking? I agree w Broken Chair, Leo would have some reasoning. Looking at the Vertical Gradient Residual Magnetic, I've noticed similarities in this spot with other Quebec deposits, eg Adina. I won't go through it all here, but via this link I have shared the VGRM of some of the other deposits in Quebec 69481344 and 69527887. That's not to say I don't think they should look at the spectral targets, which I think they should, because there are similarities in those spots as well.

So I'm still unsure why it's been a flat write off by some. I get that some won't understand magma melt and fractionation so they may only look at the reported assays and say it's no good, but some who understand it look like they have. I'd really like to understand their scientific reason, with a polite/constructive post, why they believe there won't be spod nearby so I can learn their reasoning. Leo Horn clearly thinks there's still a chance and we all hope there will be.

None of this is advice, just my current thoughts. DYOR. Again, this is me working on this stuff:
