Better still, ask management then go to your own credible sources of mining execs, technical and financial contacts and vette the information to make appropriate decisions.

I rarely rely on technical types for corporate strategic information and decision-making.
In some of my old work places I would never seek counsel from my team of engineers or geos on business decisions but would extract the information i needed and apply it accordingly and steer the business in the right direction. Investing is the same.

Anyone who plans to invest in the space may want to develop their own network of reliable and credible sources.

Also from HC I've managed to identify and meet some of the posters whose opinions I value at conferences exchange useful information.

For example a switched on jumbo operator or metallurgist will provide useful insights from their appropriate skill set and then that's another piece of the puzzle solved. I don't rely on those folks for financing terms or matters related to funding, that I approach a whole different set of contacts.

Its very useful to rely on your trusted network to piece the puzzle of what may or may not be a successful venture. Nothing is 100% but a lot better than not doing it.
