@@ozbucheron Yes that is a requirement of JORC and generally ignored, definitely by NWC and they seem to get away with it for years. The problem is that there does not seem to be an oversight committee enforcing the regulations, definitely not the ASX. This is explained by the clientele of stock exchanges being the listed companies, not the shareholders. I am afraid there is no agency or person on the side of retail investors.

I stand by my point that JORC Tables are a poor substitute for publishing full technical reports on resource estimations, scoping studies, and feasibility studies. It would also be good to make it a requirement for "independent technical consultants" to have to motivate their suggested cost rates by presenting benchmarked examples. Currently such "independent" experts can include any rate just to pull the project over the line and please the commissioning party for their "independent" assessment. It also explains why (with a few exceptions) all these fantastic projects somehow do generate enough cash for companies to pay dividends and share buy-back, despite having given +NPV8 returns on paper.
