I hear your pain. Just like the geniuses at another university who did soil sampling all around Mt Isa and found that there were high levels of Lead and Zinc in the soils around town without reference to the world-class orebody being there for billions of years weathering and oxidizing, and without reference to baseline values when Mt Isa was first discovered (and then the fairly quick development from the 1920s onwards).

There definitely will be naturally occurring Anitmony in some of the soils and watercourses around Hillgrove because the entire area is an Antimony anomaly, thats how mineral exploration companies sometimes find orebodies in the first place. And then there will be the issue of all the historical but small-scale Antimony mining and Gold mining that was done in the 19th century and early 20th century before modern mining and processing methods and before more modern environmental laws were enforced.
