I rang the Planning Officer (contact person) for the Mining permits Rose-Anne Hawkeswood of the NSW Government Office today

She was very helpful
She asked "who I was" and I confirmed I was just a member of the public asking about the permits progress
So I didn't do anything sneaky or misleading

Apparently we have two permit applications in for approval and NOT NEW APLLICATIONS

1) Is an extension for us to mine as per the existing permit (which lapsed before our ownership)
This is just for us to continue mining (an extension in time only ) until the new permit is granted

2) The other is an application for the changes to the Tailings Dam and other associated works ?? (she wouldn't say what in particular)
We have already submitted a scoping report for this application , she wouldn't expand on this

This is a comprehensive undertaking with consultants tackling environmental,planning,wildlife, waste , etc as well as the engineering details that this would involve

Now the important stuff HOW LONG would we expect to gain the necessary Approvals !!!

The extension in time Permit is between 2-8 weeks, she mentioned it was received recently . ???

The other Permit ( dam and environment etc) is 12-18 months

So my thoughts are we will move forward with Finance with the time extension permit, then once completed will will be granted the Tailings Dam permit

Maybe a senior govt minister will lean on someone in planning and push this through quicker

I am a nobody here just a share holder that asks questions........
