There has been a slurry pipeline operating from Lawn Hills to Karumba in North Queensland for many years, quite successfully. Slurry pipelines are pretty well established technology in mining. There will certainly be a need for a lot of water and I suspect that a return water pipeline will be necessary. Time will tell.
