Re games being played by brokers - Nearly 5M shares traded over the last couple of days, max range 6c, so the theoretical maximum profit on offer would be about 30 grand (this is unrealistic of course as not all shares are bought at the low and sold at the high). More likely looking at VWAP across the two days there's probably about a 2.5c range, or about 12.5k profit on offer for the game players (again this assumes near perfect execution). Not worth the hassle for "the big boys".

Most likely scenario for me is info leakage that created the buying momentum yesterday, when no ann this morning (and no price action follow through) - some placement holders decide to cash a few today; ahead of the weekend and all the macro uncertainty that comes with overnight markets.

HMD has never sustained a rally and won't until if \ when the fundamentals catch up IMO.
