@Backspacer I think you've got it pretty much as I see it too. It is a continuation of the usage of HeraCARE and HeraBEAT in at least 2 sites for Mednax with the added bit of educational info from Mayo which is a nice touch. The important point here is the confirmation of the Postpartum use, this absolutely starts to cement the role of the PLATFORM more so than the device which ultimately is what will drive support from insurance providers and gain commercial traction with better margins. There is still the matter of payment from the insurance industry at a broader level and that is part of House Bill 965 or whatever the number is (no doubt Vintage will unearth a transcript of the debates on that one.. lol). Should all the payment bits and pieces fall into alignment then Mednax has setup HMD for a springboard into other states and sites that Mednax oversees.

So HeraCARE is now operational in the US with Mednax as per the announcement however until we see an uptick in revenue resulting from the increased usage of the platform etc it's just more empty noise... empty like the hollow sound from the rocks hitting the amphorae that the Dead Sea scrolls were stored in... empty from boredom/misunderstanding is not the same as empty of detail. Mednax has now confirmed that is using HeraCARE WITHOUT confirmation that insurers will pay..... that is HUGE news, but no $$$ value attached so its not sensitive.. when that other shoe finally drops we are off!! Unless it doesn't and the senate rejects the bill and the US continues to have the worst maternal health care in the western world. Both outcomes are probably still quite likely...
