Cmon mate you've been around as long as I have, when has throwing out suggestions ever yielded anything remotely constructive. Not interested in a debate on other stocks or a pissing contest.
Genuinely glad you made a killing on LRS and hope it repeats here for you as I do for most.
My comment was with reference to near term potential upside being hamstrung by unclear commitment and timelines, now at the mercy of authium and ocean partners.
If you are banking on Li price linked revaluation, an unencumbered (offtake, processing, production) name in this end of the sector, which has been beat down equally or worse offers better risk-reward.
You dont sign a bunch of agreements at the bottom of the cycle because you've snookered yourself and reap rewards when conditions improve. I would much rather they do nothing and be fully at the mercy of prices because that is ultimately what will forgive all sins. To add, this pivot is an added deterrent for any potential buyer so unless someone moves quick i see this in a holding pattern until they clear up how and when they will execute this. Plenty of opportunity for further bad news to keep this grounded.
Now if you're up for a constructive discussion I'm all for it. Arrogance and personal shots I have no time for.
@petesdream I have been around this name since 2017, got out due to personal circumstances at a small gain only to watch it lift with the tide and come back down.
While I like/d the asset, I could never work out why noone else had interest in it. Have watched the management trip up multiple times over the years, balloon their share register and effectively implode a project that had a lot of promise, significantly erroding upside in the process. There are plenty of m&a examples where a premium was paid for allegedly far worse assets. Why? The companies doing the buying have some pretty sharp people on board.
With a capable md and cfo, jp as Argentina in country strategic advisor of sorts and clarity on Authium, ocean partners and tech, i'd probably be willing to take a punt. I agree with you that there has been a floor for some time and will likely offer price support going forward. It's the opportunity cost of parking money and hanging hopes on many uncertainties that keeps my hands in my pockets.
Will continue to be sidelined until things change and put my $$ where I feel more comfortable. Pretty simple really and has served me well enough to date.
