I think the only way that Glencore could end up owning Galan is if the loan is provided and Galan default. So to fault would depend on the repayment terms. That would apply to any lender.
I don’t think Glencore want to make their reputation any shittier after the bribery etc fines. The delay is more likely due to them being a big slow to move company.
