Took quite a while to read through all the geology, as expected hole 9 is a "ball tearer" although admittedly drilling down plunge within some sort of layered hydrothermal breccia with the internal sulfide banding more perpendicular to the drill hole trajectory. So think of it like a funnel with the top wider than the bottom and inside this funnel is a glass of goodies but the glass itself contains inclined layers of cream and chocolate stacked sub-horizontally within this taller thin glass, the good news is also that the depth of oxidation is very small and on hole 9 they are seeing sizeable amounts of high grade copper sulphides close to the surface and within potential open-pittable depths.
The important takeaways here are the the diamond drilling has confirmed the model of the deposit and has improved the structural understanding and the timing of mineralisation and its pathways. The, geological cross section, although a bit "arm-wavy" and subject to change is an important step in understand that there is a sizeable blind deposit to the north of the known mineralisation that by accident of poor orientation and drill coverage from the older historical drilling has escaped previous explorers attention. You really have to feel for whomever drilled the old drill hole CARCD003 from west to east should have discovered something years ago but either the orebody plunges off towards the north and they just drilled over the top of it, or its faulted out or it was not logged or sampled and the orebody may have been found many years ago.
The photos of core on the "rocket launcher" with the drill core oriented in its true position looking south shows the large slug of sulfides that are very suggestive that the high sulfide content shoots or tablets plunges steeply towards the northwest and hence the reason why hole 10 is drilling from the same drill pad as hole 21CAEDD003 but drilling towards the northwest, if this new geological model is correct the hole 10 should intercept a huge massive high grade sulfide intersection before going out of the breccia and entering probably the less mineralized hanging wall Diorite and/or Hornfels.
