Its my understanding that current o/s shareholders can buy and sell as they wish on the ASX, so where is the advantage for them ? Is it a tax thing ? A forex thing ? Is it liquidity ?
If nothing else don't you believe that it would be appropriate for the company to offer a clear rationale for the move and its advantages to the company and/or shareholders
