I am not sure how our discussions went with FMR. Only management will know the details but clearly we either didn’t give a firm response or we were too difficult in our negotiations and clearly last year when the opportunity was there, they went to build a relationship with other parties who probably gave a better offer and more of a return for FMR. Hence why we are still waiting so long for production and toll milling to commence.
One positive is that those great figures and profits from Auric were based on a gold price of approx. $3000aud. The aud gold price is now approaching $3500, so imagine the profits at play now once we start feeding this 200,000t into their mill. Hopefully we hear news on this soon because imo they can’t cancel the deal without some sort of big payout so they will have to accept our 200,000t for 2024 at some stage in the next couple of months to meet the conditions of the deal…
