But I just feel that your views on price action in the market are driven by general frustration about lack of advancement in HCH, rather than that there is any real and substantial monkey business going on. Such business does happen sometimes but is not nearly as common as one thinks for various reasons laid out in my previous post.

CFD market came about for mostly one simple reason: it generates more retail punting, and margins are way fatter than straight stock trading. What's not to like as a broker? No other reason behind it.

Trust me, having been in that industry for a long time I'm quite cynical about it. But the simple truth is that it is as "clean" in terms of trading shenanigans as it can be. Compliance is being enforced with an iron first at blue chip brokers.

Ultimately, it all comes down to what we have in hand with HCH. You either believe the project has what it takes to pop in a 2–5-year time frame or it's better to sell out slowly as there is virtually no liquidity. No way of knowing as of today which is the right call. I'm still leaning towards the former. And for that reason, I'm not really spending any time analyzing daily trade patterns that amount to, at best, 100-200k volume. Completely meaningless.
