Couple of items in the PEA attracted more attention, for me, beyond the main points.

The ropeway has always fascinated me and the announcement provided some relatively accurate indication of its planned location.


The ropeway positions for the Cort and Prod ends in the above give a clue to the route. Assuming it is essentially straight A location can be obtained for the section over the Pan Am double high way as well as topography along that path from Google Earth.

I asked about how they get ore up the first ridge from Cortadera at a meeting. Yes they will have to use power to do that was the reply. The rest is "down hill".

Tenements acquired last year mean most (?all) the ropeway will be over HCH held/optioned land.

Crossing the Pan Am was mentioned as an engineering issue that could be solved with "pylons and netting to protect from spillage".




While generating this the scale of the power lines looked like it will be something else that needs to be considered.

The shadow of the pylon just north of the ropeway is some 70m with 6 high voltage lines. Zooming in at increasing detail.
