Thats why final investment decision has been timetabled end of 2026. The flora and fauna studies (1 year process mandated time frame) finish end of 2024 and feed into EIA report to be submited end 2024 (2024-2026 timeframe)
I really dont think a starter pit has been the goal more so a shallow medium size deposite that could be qucikly drilled out to meet JORC standard to be included in resource in a cost-effective and timely manner before EIA submission.
As far as CN being a bust im not so sure look at the lay of the land C1, C2 and C3 are all in a valley yet CN is being drilled ontop of hills. Anything at CN will be under alot of cover expensive to drill and time consuming to define and have high strip ratio.
I think the same could be said about SZ and Produtora Central .
All we needed was a bit of luck to find that piece of ground that gave up more ore close to surface that would allow upgrade of the processing rate before EIA submission.
Any delay in EIA will push back 2028 -29 production goals its the current critical path.
Just my take on things could be different.
