I'm having a crack. This is what E25 should be analyzing and informing. Not just posting a graph from 2016 with predictions of consumption out of a voodoo master's crystal ball. Grrrr....
that 100,000tn/y plant of Dynanonic/EVE should be ~16GWh (assuming 160 Wh/kg at cell level).
Roughly, like WTT said, 100,000tn LFMP, woukd need 80 ktn MnSO4.
USA is going for 200-300 GWh gigafactories, same in Europe. China might be on 100 GWh already?
Say 50% of projects going for LFMP (USA/korean/eu/Japanese projects)- then:
- USA 100 GWh requires 500 ktn MnSO4/year
- EU 100 GWh requires 500 ktn MnSO4/year
- CHiNA 100 GWh requires 500 ktn MnSO4/year
this numbers, if no order of magnitude mistake, makes sense to me. Open to criticisms, corrections.
if this is correct, then plenty of demand to justify what E25 is planning, compared to the minimal 20,000tn plan originally stated a year ago. Things seem to be changing fast, especially with the LMFP story unfolding.
