From the sts data base, 2012....10000 + ASD repairs. 34 % described as using a patch. The remaing 66% were simply sewn shut (primary closure). VSD repairs occurred twice as often as ASD repairs.
With 34% of 5% of seventy million babies born.........with the current boat (factory) full.........we will need another 11 for china for congenital cardiac repairs alone. Even at 10% of the market, we will not match demand.
