The thing is, people are getting worked up over the results. And this is important yes. But all they really need to do is maintain the 58% already stated, i.e, no sharp drops in efficacy over 6 months and on that front they are golden. I'll say it again: 58% drop in VS is a world class result.
Beyond that, it is a business concern. Having the right management in place to strike the right deal(s) going forward. Flexible and willing to play ball. Pharmas don't give two shits about efficacy beyond something they can market and get approved, so they will work with a 58% world class result as long as the deal is right and they can sell it to government bodies and get kids jabbed for HSV in schools.
Pharmas will happily tell anyone to piss off if the deal is bad, even at 99% reduction in VS. Or just perform a hostile takeover. One of the two. Either way, it is all about business.
