Ukraine are using it because its free...donated by Musk with help from Pentagon. And its far from success as there have been blackouts and troops with no communication. Throw in the Russians threatening to blow the satelittes out of sky.
There is a reason why mainstream defence dont use LEO sat for primary function..500km isnt far for a cluster missile.
